The focus here is more on sensory development and ensuring that the children are happy and are prepared for the main school. They are provided with:
The primary classes follow a process of continuous evaluation on the basis of the work done in
school and follow up/ home work done at home. During each term, two written tests for 25
marks each are conducted. After every term, the children are evaluated based on their
performance in the written Midterm and the Annual examinations, conducted for 40 marks and
internal assessment for 10 marks. The internal assessment is based on teacher’s own
continuous observation of the students.
During each term, two unit tests for 50 marks each are conducted. After every term, the children
are evaluated based on their performance in the written Midterm and the Annual examinations.
Each of the two evaluations are of 80 marks. The 20 marks for both the examinations are based
on continuous Internal evaluations as prescribed by the board.
The continuous internal assessments are based on a combination of Periodical class tests/
Practicals/ Projects based on group / individual / activity based learning.
The evaluation for the annual examination is based on the 100% syllabus of Second Term and
20% pre-determined syllabus of First TERM. Marks allotted for the First Term syllabus do not
exceed 20 Marks out of total 80 Marks for the Annual Comprehensive Evaluation.
The acceptable mark to indicate adequate comprehension by the student for individual subject
is 35% with an overall aggregate also of 35%

evaluation for which is done on 80 marks.
At the end of the second term, two preparatory examinations are conducted to prepare the
students for the Final examinations conducted by the Board.

on continuous internal evaluations as prescribed by the board.

Projects based on individual activity based learning.
The evaluation for the preparatory examination is based on the entire syllabus. The acceptable
mark to indicate adequate comprehension by the student for individual subject is 35% with an
overall aggregate also of 35%
It is an established fact that a certain percentage (75% in case of school) of attendance is
required to ensure that the students know the subject. The attendance is calculated one day
before the examination. This is inclusive of absence on account of illness and any other special
circumstances.
In order to encourage children to learn from each other and challenge themselves, students are divided into four houses – Phoenix, Centaur, Pegasus, and Orion. Various competitions are held in order to encourage healthy competition and cooperation among houses and children. Competitions in the following areas are held every year along with new additions from time to time.
