In order to give an enriching and invigorating learning experience to children, BNPS has interactive boards with overhead projects in all the classrooms, activity rooms for music, dance, indoor sports, library, well-equipped science and computer laboratories, a min auditorium and playground. The school is divided into four groups viz. Kindergarten, Primary, Middle School and Secondary School. At each level, students are provided with activities appropriate to their age and ability of learning.
Ample natural lighting in a child’s learning environment is seen to witness an increase in the morale of the students. This results in a massive improvement in their learning abilities. Also, poor indoor air quality is one of the major causes of absenteeism in students suffering from respiratory diseases and a major hindrance to their concentration and learning abilities.
We have made a special endeavour to have classrooms which are well-ventilated and well lit, with large windows that are designed for comfort in varying weather conditions of India. The positioning of the rooms allows for maximum flow of wind through the east- west and north-south air corridors.
As the gateway to knowledge and culture, a school library plays a crucial role. The resources it offers, create opportunities for learning and help shape new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society. A well-stocked school library not only has a positive impact on a student’s academic achievement but also empowers them to be good readers and lifelong learners who can gather, evaluate, and use information to create new knowledge.
Committed to providing a safe haven for all our students to think, create, share, and grow, our campus boasts of a spacious 1200 sq.ft library in an inviting, well-maintained and tech-supported space. Students have access to 3500 books across genres – fiction and non-fiction books, reference books, academic journals, periodicals, magazines, newspapers and textbooks.
Technology is a powerful tool that has supported and transformed education in many ways, from making it easier for teachers to create teaching materials to enabling new ways for students to learn and work together. We at Brooklyn National Public School give our students the opportunity to experience the power of technology first-hand. Our school has a well–equipped computer lab for the use of students with a dedicated broadband Internet connection. Trained teachers monitor and supervise the usage and guide the students in the right direction.
Our computer lab provides an inclusive and structured learning environment where our students can explore and lay the foundation for a future which is going to be highly technology-oriented. The lab facilitates the students to bring out their creativity and imagination and help them to understand different technologies and how to use them.
To help our students look beyond books and conventional classroom teaching, our school is equipped with a state-of-the-art composite science lab. Here the students can see, handle, and manipulate real objects and materials. The lab facilitates in-depth understanding of scientific concepts in our students as well as help them retain the knowledge for longer when they see the experiments being performed in front of their eyes. Students get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own and use models to understand different scientific theories and concepts. The lab provides ample opportunity to the students to boost their spirit of enquiry.
Our Math lab aims to act as a catalyst for our students to stimulate their interest in mathematical concepts. The lab creates a challenging atmosphere for students to test their math skills and provides an environment where they can explore the relatedness of mathematical concepts with everyday life. The activities in the math lab are planned in such a way that they are appealing to a wide range of students, of different ages and varying mathematical proficiency. It provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing. The activities in the Math lab help students to visualize, manipulate and reason. They provide opportunities to make conjectures and test them, and to generalize observed patterns. They create a context for students to attempt to prove their conjectures.
At Brooklyn National Public School, we are always exploring innovative ideas and latest technologies to bring to our students the best learning experience. We use Neverskip, Google Classroom and Google Meet for an effective teaching learning process.
An auditorium with the best acoustics and light system provides our students with the opportunity to overcome their stage fright, inculcate public speaking and performing skills.
To ensure the well-being of our students, a clinic with basic medical equipment, medicines and a doctor-on-call is available at the campus during school hours. We also conduct annual health check ups for our students.
